What I'm looking for is how long does Windows keep that mapping active before killing it off due to non use. If it's 20 minutes for example I will run my script every 15 minutes so it's always active or is there a better way to keep the share active.
My problem is that Windows is losing the mapping, or the access to the share. It seems to drop it automatically after a period of time. I have created a batch file that I want to run a couple of times a day. It waits a few seconds, then goes and recreates a fresh mapping using net use parsing the username and password in the instruction along with the server share and the option to make it persistent.
I'm guessing more like he has a GPO or something that's killing it, though the fact that he can simply delete it and create the share kinda flies against that.
